(The game is still in development, currently in Beta)

Garganta is a fast-paced platformer with a setting and art style inspired by Tsutomu Nihei's 'Blame'. Players will be able to explore expansive megastructures floating in the dead of space that evoke oppressive sentiments while still being beautiful.

Utilise the parkour gameplay mechanics to quickly cover ground amidst massive, alien spaces!

We created this game using Unity HDRP 2021, with a PBR workflow, using Sourcetree as version control and Notion for task tracking and documentation.

Norton keeps blocking the game when I try to run it :(

Oh man that sucks, I'm sure there's a way to access the block list in Norton and remove the game's .exe file

this game is SUPER COOL!!! and you got incredible visuals out of unity, this game proves that unity can be beautiful!!! :D one thing though is that it's extremely difficult. I'm stuck on the second level, and I think the parkour movement could be tweaked a little. I think it would be a good idea to add some forgiveness to the jumping, so if I click space right as I leave the platform, the jump will still register because I find myself unsatisfyingly walking off the platform because even though I thought I was on the platform I had slipped last second. also, the second level is a lot prettier than the first, I think the first area is a little too bright with the lights, but it's just my opinion! it's your game and I love it!!!! but just in case you wanted some player feedback! :D also maybe some jumping forgiveness when it comes to leaving a wall you were running on? because i aim my view to look at the other wall, then end up falling slightly off my platform right before i press space. also, i seem to randomly lose momentum when running on a wall and end up not having enough speed to make it to the next one, it seems like this is meant to be there, but it doesnt seem like its happening when it should. im not sure though! :D EDIT:  i think my problems with the wall running and jumping all occured when i was also pressing the key that pushed me into the wall, for instance when i was running on a wall to the left of me, i would be holding the shift and W key, but also the A key. i dont know for sure but i think it affected my parkour which is probably why i was having so much trouble. OK i tested it again and YES the parkour is MUCH easier and funner when you dont press that extra key! that was my bad

thanks so much for the feedback!

we can definitely add coyote time to the jumps and tweak the movement a bit :) and maybe communicate the controls better in the tooltips

we're super happy you enjoyed our game!!!!

This is a very impressive project! The atmosphere you've created really made me feel alone and isolated, while the platforming and wall running had me constantly assessing the best path through the level. The game is much tighter and the pace has improved a lot since I played an earlier build – great job to the whole team!

Thank you so much for playing and your feedback is much appreciated :)
